Position Summary:

Reporting to the AVP, Enterprise Business Services PMO Program Director, the Testing Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the ERP testing process from planning to execution, to validate the system's quality, reliability, and performance before deployment, minimizing potential issues and risks during implementation.

The Testing Lead is responsible for developing the overall testing strategy and plan for the ERP implementation. This includes defining testing scope, identifying test scenarios, determining testing priorities, creating tests cases, and allocating resources to ensure rigorous testing of software applications and systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ERP systems, their modules, and overall implementation lifecycle and a deep understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating effectively with various stakeholders in addition to excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate issues and risks.

This role will be part of a cross-functional team environment that is responsible for providing system expertise, implementation team and end user support, and participation in the successful implementation and user adoption of the ERP system.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop the overall testing strategy and plan for the ERP implementation, including testing scope, test scenarios, testing priorities, tests cases, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter specialists to develop test cases and scripts to ensure thorough testing of software applications and systems.
  • Identify and analyze testing risks, ensuring mitigation plans are developed and implemented to minimize the impact on system quality and project timelines.
  • Partner with the Development Team and business stakeholders to coordinate testing efforts, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Provide status updates on testing progress, defects, and overall system quality.
  • Coordinate integration testing, ensuring seamless data flow and interaction with other components of the ERP.
  • Plan and execute regression testing to confirm system changes and defect fixes do not impact existing functionality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related.

Experience:

  • Excellent test management skills, including test planning, test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with testing tools and software (e.g., HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), JIRA, or similar testing platforms etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP module business processes and workflows.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and end-users.
  • Prior experience as a Testing Consultant Lead in an ERP implementation project is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, along with an ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate testing risks effectively.
