Looking for a Technology Associate II for Nashville

The Technology Associate II assists in the execution of technical activities and also begins assuming project management responsibilities for assigned projects. Project management duties involve planning and executing a management plan specific to each project, delivering quality products and services to the client in a timely manner, and ensuring the product is aligned with the project plan and client's expectations. Responsible for continuously developing expertise in technology systems and using this expertise in the execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirms the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders and communicates scope and requirements to the project team
  • Works alongside Technology Consultants to learn and participate in the following activities necessary to facilitate a project: managing work schedules and man-hour budgets, communicating and coordinating with clients, and conducting project kick-off meetings
  • Coordinates work schedules with the client and communicates schedule to the project team; monitors manpower requirements
  • Under the general direction of Technology Consultants attends meetings with owners, clients, and architects; facilitates communication between clients and the project team; and documents important issues
  • Assists in the development of man-hour budgets and performs tasks in accordance with the budget
  • Assists with negotiating fees and contracts as may be appropriate, ensuring that invoices are accurate and delivered in a timely manner; monitors and controls accounts receivables
  • Prepares and implements a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projects
  • Assists with production of designs using Revit and/or CADD
  • Performs project job site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress based on design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes
  • Coordinates the job closeout process to ensure documentation, lessons learned, and filings are complete
  • Assists the design team in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, provide input for operating procedures, and provide technical information
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports
  • Actively attends internal and external training and other educational opportunities to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas

An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or relevant degree AND three years of applicable experience OR six years of direct experience in the design, application, and/or administration of low voltage systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of project approach and system design
  • Knowledge of industry specific software (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge and understanding of low voltage systems such as nurse call, audio visual, public address, security, phone systems etc.
  • Basic budgeting knowledge
