Primary Function

Performs advanced engineering tasks with no direct supervision. Lead mentor to the engineering design team in development projects throughout the entire cycle from initial concept through successful completion.

Responsibilities
  • Manages all aspects of a complex and significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget
  • Uses and applies advanced engineering principles within a particular field of specialization.
  • Identifies projects of value to the company.
  • User of CAE tools such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA.
  • Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures, and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.
  • Helps to effectively communicate technical material to internal business units.
  • Excellent analytical skills for reviewing costs and preparing budget reports.
  • Solid understanding of AOS processes and customers, participates in functional best practices, and has recognized expertise by operations.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of related work experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • 6 sigma and/or FMEA experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple projects within a schedule and budget
  • Action oriented and excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop systems and documentation for specific programs to ensure that products and services provided meet all contractual and program quality requirements
  • Ability to conduct project meetings and prepare to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Years of Experience
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
