EnSafe is accepting applications for an Environmental Scientist or Geologist based in our Nashville, TN office location.

What We Are Looking For

As an Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Perform Phase I/II environmental site assessments.
  • Prepare work plans and project preparation.
  • Conduct site investigation and monitoring activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, biota, indoor air, soil gas, drinking water, and stormwater)
  • Perform asbestos/lead/mold inspections and conduct asbestos air monitoring.
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration; regulatory compliance evaluation and assessment; and preparation of plans and reports.
  • Perform O&M of remedial systems, operational data collection, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and modeling.
  • Evaluate and implement applications of technology to support and enhance project delivery.
  • Prepare field documentation and write technical reports
  • Perform work with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Geology, Engineering, or a related scientific field. MS is a plus.
  • 1 to 5 years of environmental field experience
  • Aspirations to become a registered Professional Geologist/Engineer is a plus.
  • GIS, geotechnical, and/or geophysics experience are a plus.
  • Communication, written and verbal, is critical to success.
  • Candidate will require a 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and other applicable training/certifications.
  • Ability to travel frequently with overnights will be required.
  • Candidates must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions and for extended periods. Candidates must also be able to meet the physical demands associated with performing field work, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in a standing position for extended periods, working alone at remote sites, etc.
