Location: Nashville, TN (2 days on-site per week)

Salary Range: Up to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team in Nashville, TN. As the Data Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support our growing business needs. This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence in Nashville for 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of our data platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, etc., to optimize data processing and analytics capabilities.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Utilize cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to build and maintain scalable and cost-effective data solutions.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage data platform components efficiently.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
