Role:

To review all loans booked to the bank's core system in order to verify loans are booked according to signed documents and have the proper approval; identify and track missing documents; and conducts post-closing compliance review related to CRA and HMDA reporting. Assist mortgage teams with consolidation efforts to bring both portfolio and secondary mortgage teams together.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

35%

Conducts post-closing review of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans booked to the bank's core system for completeness and accuracy. Identifies and documents corrections that need to be processed. Ensures all documents are received for each loan file.

E 25% Conducts post-closing compliance review of mortgage loans and HELOCs, including HMDA information.



E 15% Assists project teams with mortgage team consolidation efforts.



E 10% Uploads consumer loan packages to SharePoint for imaged loan file.

E 5% CRA reporting.

E 5% Document exception tracking and reporting.

N 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

The ability to perform daily functions and responsibilities accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner and according to regulatory guidelines. Ensures accuracy and completeness of documents.

The ability and willingness to cross-train on other functions and responsibilities with the department as required.

The ability to develop and maintain written Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to the daily functions and responsibilities performed in post-closing review.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job. Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. External contacts take the form of service to the public (customers or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and exchanging factual information.

Other Skills

Ability to solve practical problems and use independent judgment to deal with situations that fall outside normal parameters.
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office products including word, Excel and Outlook are required. Attention to detail, ability to multitask, professional phone etiquette, ability to prioritize, ability to work effectively under pressure and with large volumes, ability to work and effectively communicate with employees and management within the departments and offices.

Physical Requirements

The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or clients and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
