Looking for a Human Resorces Business Partner II

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
  • Guides the development of department goals and objectives and leads the implementation of systems
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the HR department in relation to established goals; recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Develops partnerships with assigned leaders, listens to issues/concerns they are having, and seeks guidance on how to resolve these issues from the CAO and HR Senior Business Partner
  • Assists in benefits (medical, 401k, ESOP, workers compensation, etc.) administration to include claims resolution and communicating benefit information to colleagues
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; files Vets 100 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
  • Conducts recruitment for open positions; facilitates the interview process; manages and audits the relocation program; conducts new hire orientations; monitors career pathing program
  • Handles employee relations counseling and exiting procedures
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, such as the administration of employee leaves (FMLA, PTO, etc.) and employment status
  • Acts in a consulting capacity to managers on colleague issues, including compensation, benefits, and employee relations and improve colleague engagement
  • Implements programs to further SSR's Mission and Values, including company and community service projects and events
  • Facilitates performance and development plan process for colleagues
  • May hold responsibility in one or more of the following areas:
    1. Training and Development/LMS
    2. Wellness
    3. Benefits Administration
  • Performs other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

  • College degree in Human Resources or comparable field with five years of applicable experience
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or comparable field with three years of applicable experience
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Management systems and database administration
