Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Knox, IN
Direct Hire
Shift: 6:00AM-3:00PM

Essential Functions:

    • Work with and/or lead the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

    • Troubleshoots and performs repairs on production equipment.

    • Ensures operation of machinery and other production equipment by completing preventive maintenance.

    • Troubleshoots and performs repairs on equipment.

    • Ability to diagnose defective mechanical parts and disassemble the components for repair.

    • Performs duties as assigned, including completing work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system.

    • Adheres to all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum one year of recent related maintenance experience is required.

    • Must be proficient in using hand and power tools, micrometers, and calipers.

    • Ability to operate manual mills and lathes.

    • Fabrication and welding experience preferred.

    • High-voltage electricity knowledge required.

    • Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

    • Must be able to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.

    • Experience operating a forklift.

    • Ability to wear a respirator when required.

    • Must be multi-tasking, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and within a team environment.

    • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

    • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Current shift straight days (S/1). Must have flexibility to work other shifts and weekends as needed.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

      • Minimum age of 18.

      • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

      • Previous production line experience is a plus.

      • Forklift operation experience preferred.

      • Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
