Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a team of business analysts, software developers, system architects, testers, trainers, and managers to develop an enterprise level system. The position is located in Nashville, TN. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health IT, Health and Human Services operating unit, an organization that serves the IT needs of state and local governments.
The selected candidate will work closely with client personnel and business analysts to gather, validate, and document customer and system requirements. This individual attends requirement definition meetings and reviews design documents to ensure client policy is appropriately addressed and developed in the new system. This individual should have a strong understanding of Medicaid policy and procedures to ensure that the system meets state and federal mandates of Medicaid systems. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degrees in information technology or a related field
- At least 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with IT Project Development Lifecycle
- Strong Medicaid/Medicare business knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively with project staff and customers to solve complex issues
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with and knowledge of human services programs
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Understanding of systems design and development processes
